How to treat pool algae

You can swim in a pool with algae, but you may not want to, especially for young children, or others with underdeveloped or compromised immune systems. The usual primary cause of pool algae and the most contributing factor is the lack of good circulation, filtration, and sanitation. Consistently checking of chlorine levels is the best way to prevent pool algae.

Commonly found algae’s that are in pools are:

1. Green algae

2. Mustard algae

3. Black algae

Conduct a thorough test to determine and adjust the pool’s pH balance. Add algaecide if needed. Thoroughly brush the pool surface to make sure you cover every little spot. Then vacuum afterward to make sure you removed all the dead algae out of the pool. Check the filter to clean and backwash. Now you may enjoy swimming in your pool.
