Proper Chemical Levels In Pools

Maintain a safe and healthy water by balanced chemical levels in pools . This includes proper levels of pH, total Alkalinity, and Calcium Hardness. These are: pH: 7.2-7.8, Total Alkalinity: 80-120 ppm, Calcium Hardness, 180-220 ppm and Cyanuric Acid (Stabilizer): 30-50 ppm. Chlorine levels should remain constant in the 1-3 ppm range.

Check your pH just as frequent as you check your chlorine balance, 2 to 3 times a week. By keeping your pH balanced your chlorine will stay at its highest level of effectiveness. The Total Alkalinity must be tested at least once a week because this affects the PH level of your pool.

There are four major processes to maintain proper water chemical levels in pools.

  1. Water Balancing
  2. PH level maintenance
  3. Total Alkalinity maintenance
  4. Proper Calcium Hardness maintenance

These chemicals and methodology can be dangerous to your health. It is still advised to have a pool company expert like Aqua Doc Pool Clinic to take care of your pools chemical balance.
