Pros and Cons of an In-Line Chlorinator

There are two major advantages to point out for in-line chlorinators. First is that there is no manual chemical handling. This would ease maintenance. Second, is its appearance. The In-line system is installed for all time into the water return line of the swimming pool. In this way, you will not be needing some extra hoses and clamps and other extra attachments that might get disconnected, knock loose, or in other different circumstances might get damaged. That is why the In-line chlorinator is very easy to install. And the in-line system is creatively satisfying to the eyes because of the absence of additional tools.

However. just like every product or device, In-line chlorinators also have listed some disadvantages that may affect the sanitation of the swimming pool and some personal safety. There is a known problem regarding flow issue whenever the flow over the pool water return is low, the issue begins once the chlorinator can't draw adequate water to completely dissolve the chlorine tablet within the chlorinator and mix in with the pool water. This may result in not enough and unequal chlorine feed. Due to this kind of design imperfection, there might be some air pocket that can be formed in the chlorinator that will block the pool water from reaching the chlorine tablets on top of the bottom tablet. This problem occurs that limits the amount of chlorine that is supposed to be released. Furthermore, there is also a greater chance taken that chlorine gas may develop inside the in-line chlorinator, introducing a danger of respiratory harm if discharged.
